I miss the days where things weren't complicated. Where things were simply black or white, good or bad, and wrong or right, none of the blurry complicated shit in between. People perceive being naive as a bad thing, but if you look at it from a overhead view, you realize that it's way better. The childlike innocence that some people still have can be really annoying at times, but these people have the ability to truly be happy. The phrase 'the less you know, the better' is completely applicable in this situation. You don't need to be ignorant of the things going on in life, but you CAN keep your head clear of certain things. Sometimes knowing and thinking too much can complicate things, & make you end up feeling worse. Suddenly, between black and white, there's a whole gradient of gray that youre faced with and don't know what to do. Between the lies and truth, white lies are made, those lies you think are justified in order to make someone feel better. Human emotion and reasoning get in the way of making the decision you need to do, vs. the things you want to do. Knowledge is power, but too much knowledge means too much power, and some people just can't handle it, so they just break down. Just like Adam and Eve's story, they were way better off not knowing the difference between food & evil. All they needed to do is listen to God, & they were set. So when they disobeyed him, that's when all complications began. I wonder what life would be like if they never disobeyed Him and never ate the fruit from the tree of knowledge. Things might be different, cuhs we've never experienced the sad things life offered, such as heartbreak, depression, sorrow, pain & despair, but one things for sure, it wouldve been better than how were living now.
